Hi,
I hope you’re well.
I can’t believe it’s been a whole month since I sent my last update out!
Quite a lot of time has been taken up sending out the Sparks and the Fallen Star rewards and the Innsmouth: The Stolen Child rewards. I still have quite a few to send out, but that should happen in the next couple of weeks.
These new book are up on the website to order.
We’re still ironing out the processes for our new printer, compounded by the additional work that was needed to reprint the Arcane Rites gamebook, since we pretty much ran out of stock.
That’s all been sorted now, and as I type this, we have no less than 3 books in production; The Thing on the Doorstep Part One, Clodagh 2 and Arcane Rites: The Cult of the Pajoli. The neighbours are going to be pleased when those lot turn up!
Work is progressing with my Top Cow book, and Willi has finished the art for Clodagh 3. We’ve also got Gone 4 internal pages completed (art by Sebastian Chow, colours by Darja Rattik), and the cover is being created by Lyndon White. An excerpt is shown below.
Yes, we’ve got new robots.
Lyndon has also completed the cover for the A5 mini-print book. Small version below.
Blue is this season’s colour.
I’ve added this book and The Thing on the Doorstep to the pre-orders available on the website (use the button below).
Please remember, however, that the first 100 subscribers who sign up to a physical subscription will receive the A5 Prints Volume One book, signed and numbered, for FREE. There are still a few subscriptions until we hit 100, so if you’d like to sign up, use the button below!
Talking of subscriptions, we have decided to move ‘At Last the Light’ till a little later in the year, as we’re waiting on the Scots translations, and also I’d like to try and do a proper marketing campaign!
So, our next Kickstarter will be for ‘Hob’s Lane #2’ - I’m waiting on the campaign to be signed off by Kickstarter, and hopefully it’ll go live tomorrow! I’ll send out a quick update when it does!
This also means that April’s subscription comic will be Hob’s Lane #2.
Also, we managed to have a few days away form work to do some writing, and popped into the Oban Waterstones shop where we saw the display below!
Needless to say, we were overjoyed, and a little emotional. We had no idea that the lovely staff had created us a little space!
Speaking of which, if you’d like to leave reviews for any of our books on Amazon or Goodreads, or wherever you buy your books, that’d be amazing. I know everyone is super busy, but it’d really help signal boost our brand of weirdness. Also, if you live in the UK, you can order our books through your local bookshop (including Waterstones), and doing so would help raise our profile there, as well.
Okay, I’m stopping now to go and get warm - Scotland is cold - who knew?!
Speak soon and stay safe,
Simon
