Hi,
I hope you’re well.
I hope this isn’t too sad a post to send out.
Last Monday evening, my dad, who’d been an unwavering supporter of Blue Fox Comics (and gamebooks), passed away after a few weeks of illness.
I’ve been travelling up and down the country to visit him, and was with him when the time came.
Having these last few weeks allowed me to say everything I wanted to say and thank him for all of his help. It never mattered how much he backed the campaigns for, just that he did. I’m not even sure he read the comics - not sure it was really his thing - but that made his support even more poignant.
I know I’ve not been replying to messages or sending out rewards as often as I’d have liked - this is the reason why. In the coming weeks we have his funeral and then we fly out to San Diego Comic Con for the launch of my Top Cow/Image comic Antarctica, something my father played an important part in.
He was a good man who adapted and grew over time, who supported his son in something he didn’t entirely understand, and was happy for me when I said it was going well.
To Dad. I love you. Thank you.
Speak soon and stay safe,
Simon
Sorry for your loss.
My sincere condolences
