Hi,
I hope you’re well.
We’ve definitely been busy over here at Blue Fox, so I thought I’d let you know what’s been going on.
Firstly, I’ve moved the newsletter to Substack. This is mainly driven by the clarity and ease of use of the site, but it’s also partly because Substack is free. We’re a small publisher, so keeping control of costs is important - and there are always too many bills, right?
Secondly, we have 2 graphic novels in Previews in October - so if you want a chance to pick up The Mountains of Madness or Gone without the postage costs from the UK, head on over to your local comic shop and get them to order it for you!
See below for how the books appear in Previews, and the numbers to quote for ordering are:
Gone – Sci-Fi – Softcover OCT211351
The Mountains of Madness – Softcover OCT211352 / Hardback OCT211353
Thirdly, we’ve continued our ‘1 a month’ Kickstarter run, with ‘The Shadows Over Innsmouth Parts 1 & 2’, ‘Innsmouth: The Stolen Child’ and ‘Powers Fearful and Divine #1’. Our backers have continued their amazing support of our projects, so if that’s you, thank you!
Fourthly, I’ve started ‘A Branching Narrative’ Substack newsletter, which sends out monthly interactive fiction (choose your own adventures).
Our second adventure will be winging its way to inboxes on Tuesday. If you think it might be something you’d enjoy, use the button below to subscribe. Free subscriptions receive the first room, while paid memberships receive the whole adventure.
Fifthly, our next Kickstarter, ‘Hob’s Lane #1’, starts on Tuesday. If you’d like to be notified when the project launches, click the button below, and select ‘Notify me on Launch’.
Hob’s Lane is a Lovecraftian kitchen-sink psychodrama, in which widowed theoretical physicist John Tate is sure he can bring his murdered wife back from the abyss, but the abyss has other ideas.
It’s written by Martin Hayes with art by RHStewart (Sinners).
I’m currently putting Innsmouth 1 & 2 rewards into envelopes and posting out to our backers. We’re over halfway through fulfilment, and the madness hasn’t taken over yet!
We’ve also managed to binge watch ‘Midnight Mass’ on Netflix, which we loved, and ventured into the cinema to see ‘No Time To Die’ which we loved less.
We’ve also just been guests on a great podcast, but I’ll send out the information on that next week!
Until then, stay safe!
Simon & Marielle
