San Diego Comic Con, Kickstarter Finale and Sneak Peaks

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at Fox Red HQ.
Seventh Sister Kickstarter
After being made a ‘Project We Love’, Kickstarter featured the campaign as a Kickstarter Reads ‘Project of the Day’, yesterday, which was fantastic.
We’ve hit our £2k Stretch Goal, which means a free bookmark for all physical backers and with just over an hour until the campaign closes, we’re ramping up for the big finale!
Thank you to everyone who has supported our first Fox Red Campaign, the support has been incredible and we appreciate every single pledge, thank you.
San Diego Comic Con
Seventh Sister writer Simon Birks and I headed out to our first San Diego Comic Con for this year’s 2023 event and it was brilliant to finally meet some of our friends and colleagues, in the flesh!
Simon Birks was signing at the Top Cow Booth for his new title ‘Antarctica’, launched at SDCC23 through Image imprint Top Cow. During the Top Cow Panel, the originally planned five-issue mini series was announced as an ongoing title. This was a fantastic moment for the ‘Antarctica’ creative team.
With art by Willi Roberts (Clodagh, Thing on the Doorstep, Cult of Pajoli) and Letters by Lyndon White, (Sparks, The Mind of James Svengal, Hexes) there are also variant covers by a whole host of talented artists and creators (including Willi and Lyndon), coming to each issue - our Seventh Sister Majory Yokomizo (Fishing Memories, Hexes - upcoming title) has one coming for issue five!

Sneak Peak - ‘Tides’
I’m thrilled to share a beautiful sneak peak of the upcoming title we’re working on for Fox Red Comics.
With words by me, Marielle Bouleau, and art by Majory Yokomizo, the work is already well underway. Layouts have already been signed off and we’ve had some gorgeous sketches and colours come through for our new Fox Red title, ‘Tides’.
The Story - ‘Tides’
Recluse, Tora, grows up by the sea under the watchful eye and tutelage of her father, fisherman Aramis. With the disappearance of her mother a heavy burden carried between them, father and daughter hold on to one another all the more tightly, keeping to themselves and fortifying their tiny world against the powers and dangers beyond their cottage walls. The lives they lead are private, quiet; still. But when Tora’s father goes missing at sea and she sets out to find him, she discovers the dangers in the deep are no match for what waits at home.
We hope you’re as excited as we are for this new and upcoming story. I’ve had a brilliant time writing it and Majory is doing incredible work for issue one - as always.
